Bunny’s Last Burrow

dscn24421

Watson, known to his friends as “Bunny,” was buried today in a couple of family members’ Delawarean garden with humans, pigs, and a dog in attendance.   He will be remembered.

Some things I remember about Bunny:

  1. Feeding him raisins.
  2. Feeding him carrots.
  3. Chasing him back to his pen when he cleverly got loose.
  4. The silkiness of his years.
  5. Seeing him nibble contentedly at grass tips.
  6. Peeking out from the barn after an escape.
  7. Sharing spillover food with the pigs.
  8. The quickness of his hop.
  9. His joie de vivre.

Watson, we wish you well wherever you are and hope you have wide open, healthy fields to find happiness in.
